HOW TO FIND US:

Wine Country Retreat is a serene rustic estate located at 1476 Wine Country Drive, Rothbury, NSW, just over 2 hours' drive North of Sydney, 55 minutes from Newcastle/Port Stephens Airport and 5-minutes off the Hunter Expressway (Branxton Interchange). On Wine Country Drive, we are on the left-hand side of the road heading towards Cessnock. Our driveway is just after Littlewood Road, look out for the (big black road sign) and located down 500m of dirt road - please drive slowly and watch out for wildlife. 

Our property is set on 60,000sqm of landscaped grounds and natural bushland, with gorgeous views overlooking neighbouring vineyards, our lily-filled dam and outdoor swimming pool. Each room has access to a large veranda, with your own table and chairs to sit and take in this magical scene.

ACCOMMODATION:

Our lodge-style accommodation is 16 fully renovated Studio Rooms, (King, Twin and Family Rooms) set in two wings of eight, with dining room and bar conveniently located between the two wings. Each room offers private ensuite bathroom with shower, toilet and vanity, with fluffy toweling and hairdryer. We provide the Herbology Collection of luxury amenities made from purest botanical essential oils - shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand wash in each room.

Each air-conditioned room has its own car space and dual entrance (one from the car park and one onto the deck). Our beds are supremely comfortable, triple sheeted in best quality cotton sheeting, each with a comfy duvet and pillows. The in-room mini bars include local wine, our own beers, soft drinks, water and chocolate and are all offered at the same reasonable prices as in the bar. Our fully carpeted rooms each have a wall-mounted TV, small workspace area, clothes hanging space, luggage stand, and plenty of internal and external lighting. Irons and ironing boards are available at Reception. Our little extra touches include a wine cooler, cheese board and knife, first aid kit, insect repellent, spare blankets, and complementary Wi-Fi. 

Our cosy fire-side fully licensed Andy's Bar are open Friday - Monday from 5pm by reservation and other evenings for Small Group Bookings. We offer a delightful selection of wines by Hunter Valley's finest independent winemakers, a great selection of spirits and beers including our own Andy's Lockdown Pale Ale, made right here in the Hunter Valley. The bar has a comfortable lounge area with a great selection of books, puzzles and board games. Edgar Vales from Vales Wines  Welcome to Vales Wines– valeswines  offers exclusive wine tastings on site, by appointment only.

For breakfast each day we offer a delicious a la carte selection of dishes and barista-made coffee daily from 8am - 10am (until 11am on weekends and we can open earlier on request)

FACILITIES: Our property facilities include outdoor pool, gym, sauna, fire pit and picnic area. Your kids will be thoroughly entertained by our friendly rescue animals. They can collect the eggs each morning from our brood of happy, free-range chickens, feed the ducks on the dam, and roast marshmallows by the fire.
